The Beaverton-based brand is certainly no stranger when it comes to sneakers inspired by the traditional Japanese embroidery technique, but the Nike Air Max 97 Sashiko might just be one of the best ones yet. Rather than using traditional denim, this Nike Air Max 97 uses Navy Blue suede as the base and patchwork denim accents. The tiled patchwork can be spotted throughout the sneaker’s multi-layered structure. Denim fabrics, Neon contrasting accents, 3M reflective detailing atop a White midsole and Gum rubber outsole completes the design. Additionally, volt is prominent for the interior of the signature Air Max cushioning for more vibrance, while a white midsole and gum rubber outsole solidifies the makeup.
