The Air Jordan 3 “Doernbecher” was designed by patient Cole Johnson, a teen cancer survivor from the 2010 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. Back in 2013, the Air Jordan 3 DB also saw a limited re-release. Designed by Cole Johanson while he was fighting cancer, the shoe features a Varsity Red upper accented by a diamond pattern throughout. Red elephant print emerges on the overlays, while black accents create a “Bred” look, an intentional choice by Johanson. “COURAGE” and “STR3NGTH” appear on the insole, with Cole’s name subtly etched into the base and spaghetti and chocolate designs inside the back flap.
